Unlike the real world, in the virtual one the idea of teleportation has long been realized - you have the ability to almost instantly move to any page on the network. Therefore, on the Internet, more efforts have to be made in order not to lose the addresses of interesting points to move than to the process itself. The functions of saving bookmarks in the used virtual teleportation program - the browser - should help in this. There are more than enough ways to call this function in Google Chrome.

Instructions

Step 1

Load the page you want to bookmark into your browser. A gray five-pointed star is visible at the right edge of the application address bar - click on it with the left mouse button and the star will be highlighted in yellow, and Chrome will create a bookmark. This will open a small window in which you can change the section and the text displayed in the bookmark list. The "Change" button in this window opens a panel of more detailed bookmark settings.

Step 2

Another icon is placed at the opposite edge of the address bar - a globe, decorated in the same gray tones. It is designed to open a window for viewing brief information about the site, but if the browser has the bookmarks bar displayed, the icon can be used in another way. Drag this globe to the panel, and a new bookmark will appear on it with a link to the open page. The display of the bookmarks bar is enabled from the Chrome menu - for this, the item "Always show the bookmarks bar" has been placed in the "Bookmarks" section. The keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + B can also be used for the same purpose.

Step 3

If the open page contains a link to a web resource whose address you would like to add to the bookmark list, simply drag this link to the taskbar.

Step 4

Right-click on the bookmark bar if you want to create a new bookmark by manually entering its address and name. To call the corresponding dialog, select the "Add page" item in the pop-up context menu. To enter a name in the dialog, use the "Name" field, and to enter an address - URL. Select the folder where you want to place this bookmark from the list located under the input fields. Using the button "New folder" this list can be replenished.

Step 5

You can also use hotkeys to bookmark the current page. Use the combination CTRL + D, this combination in Google Chrome does not differ from that used in all other browsers.
