Step 1

The first way is to configure the appropriate parameters in the BIOS menu. Before starting the operation, the boot disk must already be in the optical drive of the computer. Turn on your PC. Immediately after power-up, from the initial screen, press the DEL key. If you are unable to open the BIOS using DEL, see the instructions for your motherboard. There should be information about the corresponding key.

Step 2

Then select the BOOT section in the BIOS menu. In this section, you can set the startup order of devices. Select 1-st Boot Devise and press Enter. A list of devices will then appear. Select your optical drive from this list and then press Enter as well. Exit BIOS and save the changed settings. Your computer will restart and the system will automatically start from the boot disk.

Step 3

After completing all the necessary operations with the boot disk, do not forget to return to the normal boot order of devices. For this option 1-st Boot Devise, install the hard drive. If you do not do this, then every time you turn on the computer, if there is any disc in the optical drive, the system will boot more slowly.

The second way to boot the system start from the boot disk is to use the BOOT-Menu. To open this menu immediately after turning on the computer, press the F8 key, sometimes F5 or another F-key is an alternative. You will see that the BOOT-Menu displays a list of devices on your computer: hard drive, USB flash drive (if connected), FDD drive (if any) and other devices.

Among these devices, select your optical drive and press Enter. The disc in the drive will start spinning. Wait until the message Press any key appears on the monitor screen, which means "Press any key". This is what you need to do. After pressing the key, the system will start from the boot disk.
