BIOS is a system for entering and entering commands. All information about these commands is located in a small chip on the motherboard. BIOS, as a program, starts after pressing the power button. If some parameters are incorrectly configured, it becomes impossible to boot the computer, in which case it is necessary to reset the settings.

Instructions

Step 1

Quite often, incorrect BIOS command settings are the cause of computer malfunction. For example, when overclocking a processor, it is important to maintain the frequency intervals. If you break this rule, constant reboots will become your frequent guests. The easiest way out is to change the settings, returning them to the "Default" value.

Step 2

To perform this operation, you need to restart your computer. From the desktop, click the "Start" menu and select the "Shutdown" item. Depending on the version of the system, you may need to click on the "Shutdown" icon again or select the appropriate line from the drop-down menu.

Step 3

After the Shutdown screen disappears, the computer starts up, in particular, it checks all connected devices. Press the Delete key to go to the BIOS SETUP menu (Entering Setup will inform you about entering this menu). In the main window, just select the line Load File-Safe Defaults or Load Optimized Defaults. All previously made changes will be discarded and the BIOS will take the previous settings from a special file.

Step 4

To restart the computer from this menu, select the Save & Exit Setup line or press the F10 hotkey. In the small window that appears, you need to enter the Y character or the word Yes. Press the Enter key to complete the operation.

Step 5

But this is not the only way. It so happens that the computer does not turn on after pressing the coveted button. If the problem is not in the power supply, which is suitable for the button, therefore, the system unit does not turn on for some reason. Here, the best solution would be to open the side covers of the system unit. You need to move the jumper next to the BIOS chip for 5 or more seconds.

Step 6

Also, in this case, pulling out the battery and then mounting it back helps. It should be noted that the number of seconds remains unchanged, i.e. from 5 and more.
