Perhaps few people use subtitles, but sometimes I really want to hear the original voice of an actor and at the same time understand what he is talking about. That's what subtitles are for. Almost all BD-Rip or DVDRip embeds both original and Russian subtitles. How to enable them in two well-known video players - read carefully below.

Instructions

Step 1

And two well-known video players are KMPlayer and, of course, MediaPlayerClassic, which is included in the K-liteCodecPack. By default, KMPlayer uses built-in codecs, but at the user's request, it can use system ones. Subtitles are divided into internal and external. The internal ones are located in the video file itself, they can be disconnected and connected. External subtitles, i.e. separately connected, loaded from SRT and SUB files (the most common on the Internet).

Step 2

There are several ways to select and connect subtitles: launch a video file using KMPlayerMPC. For example, take the movie Mission Impossible: Phantom Protocol, Blu-rayRip from a licensed disc with embedded English subtitles. Russian subtitles in SRT format were downloaded separately.

Step 3

To enable subtitles in KMPlayer, right-click on an empty space in the player window, move the cursor to the "Subtitles" item and select "Open subtitles". Then specify the path to the downloaded subtitle file and click "Open". Subtitles have been successfully connected to this video file, and to display them, check the "Show subtitles" checkbox in the Subtitles menu. Due to the fact that there were still English subtitles in the file, you need to switch to Russian. To do this, go to the Subtitle - Subtitle languages menu and select Russian from the list (an inscription of something like this Subtitle / rus).

Step 4

To connect Russian subtitles to MPC go to File - Loadsubtitle menu. Then specify the path to the subtitles and click "Open". Check that Russian subtitles are set by default: Navigate - SubtitleLanguage - S: Full [Russian]. And finally activate the display of subtitles in the movie: Play - Subtitles and check the Enable checkbox. That's it, the subtitle setting is over. Happy viewing!
