Why do you need subtitles? If you want to watch a foreign film for which no translation has yet appeared, or practice translating from that language. It also comes in handy if you want to hear the voices of the actors.

Instructions
Step 1
Install the codecs to play the movie with subtitles. Install the K-lite codec pack. Next, you need to download the subtitles themselves. This can be done at fansubs.ru, subs.com.ru. Next, unpack the subtitles from the archive (the Winrar program will handle *.rar and *.zip archives), place them in the folder where the movie is located.
Step 2
Download and install a special plugin designed to connect subtitles to video players. Your best bet is to install a plugin that supports different players and different subtitle formats. For example, install DivXG400. It has support for almost all known subtitle formats, but there are problems with displaying the Cyrillic alphabet.
Step 3
Download DivXG400 plugin to enable subtitles in Media Player. To do this, follow the link https://www.free-codecs.com/download/DivXG400.htm, click on the plugin name, select the save location and wait for the download. After that, run the installation file and install the plugin on your computer. Copy the subtitle file to the folder where the video file is located. Rename the subtitle file: it should have the same name as the video file. Open the movie in Windows Media Player
Step 4
Connect subtitles in Media Player using the VobSub plugin. It supports subtitles in the following formats: *.ssa, *.smi, *.srt, *.sub. To view these subtitles, download the plugin from the link https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84359 and install it on your computer
Step 5
Connect the plugin to the Media Player program to install Cyrillic support, select the Unicode version. Next, move the subtitle file to the movie folder. Rename the subtitle file: it should have the same name as the video file (for example, movie.srt, movie.avi). Open the movie with Windows Media Player.
