Skype (Skype) is a convenient and modern program that allows people to communicate at a distance in various ways: from text messaging to video calls.
Chatting on Skype is an easy and free way to exchange information with friends, colleagues or relatives who may be in the next room or thousands of kilometers away.
Unnecessary contacts
However, it often happens that in your Skype mailing list there are people with whom you do not plan to communicate in the near future or for a long period. This situation can be caused by a variety of reasons. For example, a common option is work contacts: for example, your work activity was associated with a project that is currently completed. Therefore, an extensive list of contacts of people who participated in the implementation of this project becomes irrelevant. Perhaps, with some of them there will be a need to communicate in the future, but at the present time there is no such need.
This and other similar situations ultimately lead to the fact that your contact list becomes so bloated that it becomes quite difficult to find the person with whom you really need to talk to at the moment. This means it's time to clean up your contact list.
Deleting unnecessary contacts
In reality, removing unnecessary contacts from your Skype mailing list is quite simple: it is much more difficult to decide which of them should be deleted. After the appropriate decision has been made, you can proceed to the technical part of the procedure.
First, you need to find the contact that you decided to delete in the general list located on the left side of the Skype window. Then it must be highlighted to make it clear to the program that the operation you are planning to carry out concerns this particular contact. This can be done by clicking on it with the left mouse button. At the same time, it is possible to simultaneously delete several contacts without wasting time on one by one excluding them from the list. To do this, select the desired contacts in the same way with the left mouse button, while holding down the CTRL key.
Make a selection and, while holding the mouse cursor on the required contact, press the right mouse button. This will cause a menu to appear, in which you must select the line "Remove from the list of contacts" by pressing the left mouse button. The program will ask you to confirm that you want to delete this contact in order to avoid accidental deletion: if you are sure of your decision, you should click the "Delete" button. If you do not want to waste time on this stage of the procedure every time you delete a contact, you can put a tick in the "Do not ask again" line.
