To access e-mail on a computer, specialized mail programs are used. With their help, you can configure your account and see updates to your e-mail while working with the system. To configure e-mail, you will need to specify the appropriate parameters.

Step 1
To work with e-mail on Windows systems, the Microsoft Outlook utility is usually used, which is included in the standard package of Microsoft Office applications, and therefore does not need a separate installation. To access the program, open the menu "Start" - "All Programs" - Microsoft Office - Microsoft Outlook.
Step 2
In the window that appears, the Account Setup Wizard will prompt you to create a new account. Click Next and select Add Account in the File section.

Enter your name in the form provided. Then enter your email address and password to access your account. Press the Next button and wait for the connection to the server. If all the data has been entered correctly, the program will connect to the mailbox and start downloading letters.
Step 4
If the automatic connection to the server fails, try specifying your e-mail settings manually. To do this, call the menu "Service" - "Account Settings" and click on the name of the account you created. Click "Change" in the top toolbar.
Step 5
In the window that appears, specify the mailbox settings in accordance with the parameters of the mail service, which can be found by visiting the corresponding section of the site of the e-mail server you have chosen. Specify the incoming mail server, the required ports. Recheck the previously entered email address and password.
Step 6
After completing all the settings, click "Next", and then specify the parameters of the outgoing mail server. Then click "OK" to complete the configuration. Configuring mail on your computer is now complete. You can also adjust the behavior of the program in the system using the items "Service" - "Settings" and "Service" - "Options".
