Keyboard layout is a method of entering text from the keyboard in one language or another, in one variation or another. Layout change is carried out by switching the language bar in the desktop panel. The language is also installed through the language panel settings.
Instructions
Step 1
To switch the keyboard, just hover the cursor over the square at the bottom right with the letters EN or others - this is the language bar. Press the left button on it and select the language "Russian (Russia)" from the list that appears.
Step 2
The operation of replacing the input language can be performed not only with the mouse, but also with the keyboard. Instead of moving the cursor, press the combination "Ctrl-Shift" or "Alt-Shift". The current layout does not matter. Changing the keyboard layout can be traced by changing the letters in the language bar: in case of successful language switching, the letters "EN" will change to "RU".
Step 3
If there is no Russian in the list of installed languages, open the Options menu by right-clicking on the language bar. In the menu that appears in the "General" tab, click the "Add" button. Scroll down to the "Russian" line and select keyboard settings.
Step 4
Click “OK” button in the language selection window and in the parameter window to save the settings. After that, change the language using one of the methods described above.
Step 5
You can add a language to the language bar through the Start menu. To do this, open it with a mouse click, select the line "Settings" and "Control Panel", then open the component "Regional and Language Options". In the component, open the Keyboards and Languages tab, click the Change Keyboard button.
