The keyboard layout is responsible for the input language. As a rule, in computers for Russian-speaking users, two languages †‹вЂ‹ are configured and ready for alternate use - Russian and English. If desired, the user can add a third language himself and configure the way the keyboard is switched.
Instructions
Step 1
All input language settings are configured in the control panel. Open it through the "Start" menu, then "Settings" and "Control Panel".
Step 2
In the folder that opens, double-click on the Regional and Language Options component. Through its settings, you will control the input parameters.
Depending on the speed, the computer may display all the components in the Control Panel folder at once or gradually, loading icons in parts. In the second case, wait a little until the desired icon appears.
Step 3
Open the "Keyboards and Languages" tab, then click the "Change keyboard" button. Use the "Add" button to open the full list of languages and select the required one. Click on the plus sign to the right of the language name and customize the keyboard layout. Press the “OK” button to exit the menu. Then click the "Apply" button to save the settings.
Step 4
The way to change the language is configured in the "Switch keyboard" tab. At your discretion, you can set a button that turns off the “Caps Lock” mode and a combination that switches the language. It can be a combination of simultaneously pressed “Alt-Shift” or “Ctrl-Shift”. There is no fundamental difference and advice cannot be given here - it all depends on your convenience.
Step 5
After changing the settings, click “Apply” and “OK” to save the settings and exit the menu. Exit the component in the same way.
Step 6
Change the keyboard layout in accordance with the settings just set - using the combination "Alt-Shift" or "Ctrl-Shift". If you installed a third or fourth language, repeat the combination according to the sequence number of the required language.
