A screenshot is a good option to share your progress in the game or inform the developer or your friends about a problem you are having. But in Windows 8.1 there are applications with a new Modern UI interface. And not all users are able to navigate in them in full measure. For example, how to take a screenshot while in a game under Windows 8.1?
Instructions
Step 1
Start the game and find the moment in it when you want to capture a screen image. Press Win + PrtSc (Print screen) keys. If everything is done correctly, then you should see a darkening of the screen for a second or two. The number of screenshots is not limited. But keep in mind that only the last snapshot will be saved to the clipboard.
You can take a screenshot with the usual Shift-PrtSc (Shift + Print screen) or Alt-PrnSc (Alt + Print Screen) keys. In this case, the snapshot will be placed on the clipboard, but will not be written to the hard disk.
Step 2
If you want to insert a picture into the text of an email or document in a text editor, just switch to its window and press Shift-Ins or Ctrl-V. The screenshot from the clipboard will be copied to your file or email. Some simple editors like Notepad do not support this feature. Therefore, it is better to use Microsoft Word or the free Word Pad that comes with Windows 8.1. As for mail, all modern online email clients support the ability to insert a picture into the body of the letter.
Step 3
If you took several screenshots using the Win + PrtSc (Print screen) keys, then now you should look for them in the User - Images - Screenshots folder. You can place a picture in the letter from this folder by ordinary drag and drop. Alternatively, you can attach screen capture files to the email.
