Screenshots, or screenshots (from English - screen shot), help to quickly save some important information in the case when it is very difficult to present it in text form. They are usually used to capture the current image displayed on the screen, or some part of it.
Necessary
- - Paint;
- - "Scissors".
Instructions
Step 1
You can create your own snapshot using standard programs and functions of the Windows operating system. Press the Print Screen key to save the current screen image to the clipboard. Now open the start menu and find the submenu "Accessories". Click on the Paint icon. After launching this utility, press the key combination Ctrl and V. The image copied to the clipboard will be pasted into the program window.
Step 2
Open the File menu and select Save As. Specify the format of the future file and its name. Select the folder where you want to save the captured image. It is better to use a separate program to edit the resulting image, for example, ACDSee. Install it and open the created picture file. Open the Edit menu and go to the Cropping function.
Step 3
Select the area of the image you want to keep. Click the Finish button. Make sure the captured image is correct. Open the "File" menu and click "Save As". Save the new image.
Step 4
In the Windows 7 operating system, there is a function that allows you to capture the desired area of the screen and take a screenshot of it. This program is called "Scissors". Open it by clicking on the desired shortcut in the Start menu. Select the desired area with the left mouse button. This will open the editor menu. You can select individual elements with a "marker" or "pen". Save the resulting finished image by pressing the Ctrl and S keys.
Step 5
It is worth noting that Windows 7 also has a Print Screen function. With its help, images of higher quality are obtained than when working with the Scissors program. There are special programs that allow you to take a screenshot of an image outside the visible area. They are usually used to photograph web pages.
