When a user wants to share any information on the Internet with other users, he can give a link to the desired resource. But in some cases it is necessary to take a snapshot of the site.

Instructions

Step 1

There are several ways to “take a picture” of a website page. Download from the Internet or install a dedicated image capture application from disk. Programs of this type allow you to reshoot the image from the monitor screen and save it to a file. It doesn't matter what exactly you want to photograph - a website, a desktop with its elements, or a moment in a computer game. The only limitation is possible when working with video.

Step 2

After installing the program for capturing the image (for example, Quick Screen Capture), launch it and enter the settings. Specify in which format and in which directory the files should be saved. Customize the "hotkeys" - the keys with which you will take screenshots (or just find out which key is assigned for this by default).

Step 3

Launch your browser, open the site you want and press the desired key. If you have set the sound notification in the settings, at the moment of capturing the image you will hear a sound confirming the operation. To select the scale of the page that will fit into the frame, use the browser menu. In the "View" section, select the item "Scale" and the sub-item "Reduce" or "Enlarge". You can also use the Ctrl and [+] or [-] keys. To return to normal scale, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl and [0].

Step 4

If you don't want to install any applications, use the standard method. Go to the desired site, adjust the page display scale and press the PrintScreen button. The site snapshot will be copied to the clipboard. Run any graphics editor (Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, even standard Paint from the Windows package will do). Create a new document.

Step 5

Usually graphic editors offer to create a new picture according to the size of the image contained in the clipboard. If this does not happen, set the desired dimensions yourself. If you do not know which image size to choose, open the "Display" component ("Start" menu, "Control Panel", category "Appearance and Themes", the "Display" icon) and go to the "Settings" tab in the window that opens. Look at the value in the "Screen Resolution" group - this will be the size you need.

Step 6

Paste the image from the clipboard (the "Edit" menu, the "Paste" command, or the combination of the Ctrl and V keys). If necessary, edit the image (adjust brightness, contrast, crop unnecessary elements, merge layers) and save it in a picture format.
