To make calls via Skype, you must first connect the camera to your computer or install the appropriate drivers for your laptop to enable the camera to be used. After that, you can make the necessary settings in the program itself to make video calls to other subscribers.

Instructions
Step 1
Connect your webcam to your computer's USB port. Wait for it to be defined in the system. After successful detection, you will receive a notification about the successful installation of the required driver. If the required software package is not present in the system, insert the disc that came with the camera into the drive of the computer, and then reconnect the camera. The necessary drivers will be installed in the system, and you can proceed with the direct setup of the camera.
Step 2
If you do not have a disk with camera drivers, you can use the technical support service on the website of your device manufacturer - most large companies place the programs necessary for the camera to work directly on the website.
Step 3
If you want to use a laptop for video communication, also install the required driver package. To do this, press the key combination to activate the device's webcam or slide the corresponding switch near the camera's eye (if available). You can find the required key combination by reading the instructions for your laptop or by following the icons on the keyboard, which can be applied to the keys of the upper row in blue.
Step 4
Hold down the Fn key, which is to the left of the Windows button on your keyboard, and click the button with the camera icon in the top row of buttons (for example, F6). If the drivers for the camera are not installed, insert the CD with programs for your laptop that came with the device when you purchased it and wait until the installation of the required driver is completed.
Step 5
If you did not reinstall the system yourself after purchasing the laptop, you will not need to install additional programs, since they will already be installed. It will be enough to turn on the camera for Skype to work.
Step 6
Open Skype by double clicking on the desktop shortcut. After that, log in to your account, specifying the login and password to log in. Then click "Tools" - "Options". Go to the "General" section of the left settings panel and click on the "Video Settings" parameter. With a webcam connected, you will see your image. Click on the "Settings" button under the video to set the parameters of the brightness and contrast of the picture by adjusting the corresponding options.
Step 7
After finishing the settings and achieving the optimal display parameters, click "Save" to apply the settings. Setting the camera parameters for Skype is now complete, and you can make video calls to any subscribers from your contact list.
