Joysticks are input devices that have changed the gaming industry. Satisfaction with the game process and its result will directly depend on the joystick setting. You can properly configure the joystick in special emulators.
Instructions
Step 1
An emulator is a special program that simulates the operation of a console game console on a personal computer. The owner of the PC does not need to buy "Dandy" or "Sega" - it is enough to install a suitable program, the "cartridges" of which will be files that are freely available. You can download the emulator for free on a special portal. In addition, there are many retro games for console consoles on this portal.
Step 2
Connect your joystick to your computer. Start the emulator. Open the Config tab located in the main menu. It can also be found in the context window. To do this, it is enough to right-click on the "picture" (most often traveling waves are placed in the main screen) of the emulator.
Step 3
Replace the default device with your existing joystick. In the default settings of the emulator, the input device is the keyboard. In the Config menu, you will see Game in, Keybord, or Configurating the pads. Select Controller 1 from the drop-down list and press confirm. Now you have connected the joystick to the emulator and you can configure the controls.
Step 4
Select digital joystick mode. This will help the emulator bring the functionality of your input device closer to that of a standard game console joystick. To do this, select the Digital Only joystick property in the Config panel.
Step 5
Adjust the vibration of the joystick. Go to the Rumble panel of the main menu and select one of the properties: Big Motor, Power Race, etc. It is possible to evaluate the effect and make the most accurate selection of vibration only by experience during the game.
Step 6
It is important to correctly configure the game keys of the joystick in the emulator. Open the Change conroller config tab. It lists the standard actions. Press each action on the computer in turn, while simultaneously holding down the joystick button that you want to use in the game for this action. For example, you can bind Run to the X button of the joystick, and Jump to the Y button.
