Skype is one of the most famous and popular means of electronic communication. The program is capable of transmitting an image and sound via the Internet channel, the parameters of which require special configuration not only in the system, but also in the application itself.
Instructions
Step 1
For the initial setup of headphones and a microphone in the system, you need to go to the corresponding menu of the operating system. On Windows, it is located in Start - Settings - Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices window.
Step 2
Click the Speech tab and select your default device. To check the set parameters, click on the "Test" button and say something into the microphone.
Step 3
If the microphone indicator remains stationary, check that the microphone is turned on in the system. To do this, select the "Volume" tab, click "Advanced". Next, go to the "Options" - "Properties" item, where find the microphone you are using and put a tick next to it. Test the headphones in the same way.
Step 4
Go to the Skype app. Log into your profile and go to the "Settings" menu.
Step 5
In the left part of the program window, select "Sound settings". Select the device you are using in the "Microphone" item, check the volume by watching the green slider at the bottom. If you cannot adjust the appropriate volume yourself, then use the "Allow automatic microphone settings" menu item.
Step 6
In the "Speakers" item, set the device you are using in the same way. Here you can also use the "Automatic speaker setup" option, in which the program will independently adjust the required volume, depending on the incoming signal.
