An emulator is a program that allows you to run programs written for another on one platform. For example, run eight-bit games written for Dendy on a Windows-based personal computer.
Necessary
To run eight-bit games, you need to download the emulator and the image file of the game that you want to run on the emulator
Instructions
Step 1
Download the "FCE ultra" software. Unpack the program archive. It doesn't require installation. You just need to run its executable file "Fceu.exe". The working window of the emulator will open.
Step 2
Download the image of the game you want to run in the emulator. This will be a file with the extension "Nes". Most often, image files are distributed in an archive, so the downloaded file must be unpacked. Place the unpacked file in some directory (for example, "games") in the "My Documents" folder.
Step 3
Expand the "FCE ultra" emulator window. Click File - Open. In the "My Documents" window that opens, find the folder with the images of the games ("Games"). Open it and double-click on the file of the game you want to run.
Step 4
It is necessary to configure the keys that will correspond to the buttons of the emulator joystick. To do this, click Config - Input. In the window that opens, in the "Port1" and "Port2" sections, click the "Configure" buttons. Set the keys to emulate the buttons for the first and second joysticks.
Step 5
To change the video mode, use the “Video” item of the “Config” tab. Here you can set the most convenient program screen size for you, configure the ability to run games in full screen, and perform some other video emulation settings.
