It would seem, what could be interesting in a game that literally copies everyday life? However, millions of people annually buy the super popular The Sims project, the whole gameplay of which boils down to creating a virtual family and living a "normal" life. At first glance, the process may seem uninteresting, and therefore the developers have provided several free ways to get acquainted with the game.

Step 1
Download demo version. Formally, this is a full-fledged game, all the possibilities of which are open and accessible. The only limitation is that a game session can last no more than twenty minutes, and you constantly have to start from the very beginning. You can't seriously “play” with these restrictions, but perhaps you will be convinced that the Sims are worthy of the purchase.
Step 2
You can play Sims on portable platforms. There are tons of applications for both Java-enabled devices and iPhone / Windows Phone / Android. You can download the corresponding games both in official services and on sites dedicated to software for mobile phones. In addition, there are official "ports" such as Sims Freeplay - paid, but guaranteed to keep the quality bar.
Step 3
Play through Facebook. Among other social networking applications, you can find Sims Social an interesting variation on the theme of the original game, which was developed by the same studio. The main difference is that the relationship between the characters is formed directly depending on your communication with people in real life, i.e. the more you chat with your Facebook friends, the better your Sims Social relationships will be.

Look for analogues. Obviously, the super popular game has a lot of free counterparts. So, for example, among MMO games there is Second Life, on the sites of flash games you can find dozens of "Sim clones", as well as their browser versions.

You cannot play directly in The Sims for free, because it is a commercial product. Of course, there is an opportunity to download a project from torrent trackers or internal network resources, but in this case, you deprive yourself of all updates and, most importantly, cause direct harm to the developer, in fact, stealing his work.
