A desktop screensaver (usually a "screensaver") is a moving three-dimensional object or picture that appears on the monitor screen if the user is inactive for a certain period of time. Screensavers were originally used to protect older monitors, but nowadays they serve as a decoration for standby mode.
Instructions
Step 1
Minimize all windows by clicking the left mouse button once on the "Minimize all windows" button located in the lower right corner of the Windows taskbar (to the right of the clock and date).
Step 2
Right-click an area of your desktop that is free of shortcuts, icons, and gadgets. A list of settings for the view and parameters of the main screen will open.
Step 3
In the list that opens, click once with the left mouse button on the line "Personalization". A window for setting personal parameters of the operating system skin will open.
Step 4
In the lower part of the settings window, left-click the line "Screensaver" once. The Screen Saver Options dialog box appears.
Step 5
The screensaver settings window can also be opened in another way. To do this, go to the "Start" menu and enter the text "splash screen" in the search bar "Find programs and files". As you type your query, a list of results that match your search criteria will appear at the top. In this list, select the line "Change screensaver".
Step 6
To select a screensaver in the parameters window, open the “Screensaver” list by clicking on it once with the left mouse button, and select the option you like. Also set the time interval after which the selected screensaver will start.
