The operating system offers users a set of pre-built screen savers. In addition, it is possible to turn your selected images into screensavers. If you have Windows XP installed, right-click on the free space on the screen, select "Properties" in the context menu and go to the "Screensaver" tab.

In the "Screensaver" section, click the down arrow to expand the list of ready-made screensavers, and check any of them. Using the "Options" button, you can influence the image: speed of change, positioning on the screen, etc. To see how the splash screen will look on your monitor, click Preview.

In the "Interval" list, select the time interval when the screensaver will start. If you check the box next to Password Protect, the splash screen can be removed only after entering the password defined for this account. Thus, you can safely walk away from the computer, knowing that no one can find out the contents of your folders if you did not give him your password.
Step 4
To make a screensaver of your own photographs, place the pictures in the My Documents / My Pictures folder. In the list of screensavers, select the item "Presentation" My Pictures ". Use the Options button to set the image size and frame rate. You can enable video effects to be applied when changing pictures, stretch small drawings to fill the entire screen, etc.

If your computer is running Windows 7 Professional, after right-clicking on the free space on the screen, select the "Personalize" command and click on the "Screensaver" icon at the bottom of the window. Choose a suitable screensaver from the list in the "Screensaver" section. To create your own presentation, use the "Photos" item.

If you have Windows Home Edition installed, the "Personalization" item in the context menu will be unavailable. Press Ctrl + Esc and select "Control Panel". In the search bar, enter "screensaver" and in the new window select the command "Change screensaver". Then proceed as described above.
