Instructions
Step 1
One of the easiest methods to upgrade your OS version is to install Windows Premium yourself. Prepare a boot disk containing the Windows Seven Ultimate OS files. Download an image of a similar disc and burn it to a DVD drive. Use Nero or Ultra ISO for this.
Step 2
Insert the resulting disc into the drive without restarting your computer. After the first window appears, click "Install". Wait while the analysis of the current version of Windows is performed and click the "Update" button.
Step 3
Highlight the operating system you are currently using, click the "Continue" button. Wait until the process of updating the operating system version is completed. The computer may restart 2 or 3 times. Enter the activation key when the corresponding menu appears.
Step 4
Microsoft has released the Windows Anytime Upgrade application to quickly upgrade the system. Download this program from the company's website. To do this, purchase a file package containing the resources of the new OS version.
Step 5
Run the installed program. The update will take place in several stages. To install Windows Ultimate if you have a Home version, first select Upgrade to Windows Professional.
Step 6
After the program finishes, restart your computer. You now have Windows Seven Professional operating system. Reopen the Windows Anytime Upgrade menu.
Step 7
Go to Upgrade to Windows Ultimate. Wait until the components of the new version of the operating system are installed. Do not perform any action when restarting your computer.
Step 8
Consider the fact that you need to enter the license key every time you upgrade to a new version. If you use the described algorithm, you need two keys: for Windows Professional and Windows Ultimate.
