To protect the personal data of users, the developers of the Windows operating system provide the ability to set a password at system startup. If the need to maintain confidentiality has disappeared, the password request can be disabled.
Instructions
Step 1
Performing any actions related to the protection of personal data on a computer running Windows will require the user to have administrator rights. Otherwise, nothing can be changed. Hence, if your account is not restricted, you will be able to disable the password prompt.
Step 2
To complete this simple procedure, go to the Windows "Control Panel" by clicking the "Start" button on the taskbar and selecting the appropriate item from the menu. Here you should open the "User Accounts" section. In some versions of Windows or folder display options, the name of this section may differ slightly.
Step 3
Select from the list of accounts the one that requires you to enter a password when you start Windows to log in, and open the "Remove password" menu item. Enter the current password in the corresponding field and click the "Remove password" button. The desired action will be performed, and now the system will not ask for a password at boot.
