Incorrect shutdown of the computer can cause system errors. The user needs to learn how to properly shut down the PC. Since this operation can be performed in different ways, it remains only to choose the option that seems faster and easier.
Instructions
Step 1
The standard way to shut down the operating system and turn off the computer does not take long: click on the "Start" button or the Windows key on the taskbar and select "Shutdown" from the menu. A new dialog box will open. Click on the "Shutdown" button in it. The computer will shut down.
Step 2
Another way: open the task manager by pressing the keyboard shortcut Ctrl, alt="Image" and Del, or right-click on the taskbar and select the "Task Manager" item in the drop-down menu. A new dialog box will open. In the top menu bar, select the "Shutdown" item and click on the "Shutdown" sub-item. Confirm the operation, the computer will be turned off.
Step 3
Some keyboards have buttons to turn off the computer and put it into sleep mode. Install the appropriate keyboard driver supplied with your hardware to use this feature. To turn off your computer, press the dedicated shutdown button on your keyboard once.
Step 4
Using the Scheduled Tasks component will allow you not to turn off your computer yourself. It will stop working automatically at the time you specify. To use this component, in the "Start" menu, expand all programs, in the "Accessories" folder, find the "System" subfolder and click on the "Scheduled Tasks" item. In the window that opens, click on the "Add task" icon and, following the instructions of the "Wizard", assign the shutdown.exe task.
Step 5
Try not to use the Power button on the front panel of the system unit or the On / Off button on the back wall to turn off the computer. They can be used only in emergency cases when the computer cannot be turned off using one of the methods described above.
