The Windows startup screen is used as the background image when the computer is turned on. The user can change the standard picture of the welcome screen to his own by changing some of the system settings.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the "Start" menu and move the mouse cursor over the line "All programs" until a list of installed and standard applications appears.
Step 2
Scroll down the list and click once with the left mouse button on the line "Standard". A list of programs installed on the Windows operating system by default will open.
Step 3
Left-click once on the Run program. This will open a dialog box for launching various programs, files, folders and websites.
Step 4
In the "Open" line, enter the query "regedit" and press the "Enter" key on the keyboard or the "OK" button.
Step 5
The "Registry Editor" program will start, in which the user can change various settings of the system parameters, regardless of the active user account.
Step 6
Press the key combination "Ctrl + F" on your keyboard and in the "Search" line enter the query "OEMBackground".
Step 7
You can also find the required directory for the boot screen settings by opening the location "Computer / HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Authentication / LogonUI / Background". To do this, one-by-one left-click on the folders specified in the path.
Step 8
Double-click on the line with the name of the setting parameter "OEMBackground". The window for changing the values of the "DWORD" parameter will open.
Step 9
In the window that appears, change the "Value" parameter from "0" to "1" and click the "OK" button.
Step 10
Close the registry editor and all programs and windows running on your computer.
Step 11
Open "Local C drive" in the "Computer" library and go to the "Windows" system folder. You need computer administrator rights to access the system folders, so you may need to log on with a different account.
Step 12
In the open window, double-click the left mouse button on the "System32" folder, and then go to the "oobe" subfolder and click the "New folder" button in the top explorer menu.
Step 13
For the name of the new folder, enter the text "info" and press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
Step 14
In the "info" folder, create a "backgrounds" subfolder following the instructions in step 12.
Step 15
Copy the image file selected as the background of the loading screen to the created "backgrounds" subfolder and rename it to "backgrounddefault". After that, restart your computer and make sure that the welcome screen image has changed.
