A great way to make folders and files visually easier to read is to replace their appearance with a more appropriate one. This can be done by installing a new set of icons for frequently used documents.
Necessary
- - IconPaсkager program;
- - a set of icons.
Instructions
Step 1
To replace the icons of folders and files, download the IconPaskager program (or any other program for replacing icons). Run the downloaded file, specify the location to save the program. Check the box of the agreement with the terms of use of the program and select the Next item before the installation is complete. Launch the application.
Step 2
If you already have a set of shortcuts, add them to the program using the Add Icon Package button. In the event that you did not find a suitable kit, select the necessary icons in the main menu of the program. When choosing a set, the result can be seen in a special window. Right-click on one of them and evaluate the result. If none of the icon packs suits you, click on the Get More Themes button. A site with a large number of different designs will open in the program window, select the kit you like and click on the Download button. The icon files will be downloaded to the program folder. To add icons to the general gallery, click on the Add Icon Package button.
Step 3
After choosing a suitable kit, select it and click on the Apply Icon Paсkage button. In a few seconds, the icon design will change. Also, the program is built into the context menu of files and folders, which makes it easier to change the icon for individual elements. Click on the required document and select "Properties". In the window that opens, go to the Icon tab and click on the Change icon button. The application will launch, then select the desired icon for a separate folder. To save the changes, click the "Apply" button.
Step 4
If you want to return to the standard set of Windows icons, open the main menu of the program and select the By Microsoft icon set. Click on the Apply Icon Paсkage button, and the icons will return to their previous appearance.
