Progress, as you know, does not stand still. As for the sphere of computer technologies, the ordinary user, often simply “not keeping up with the time to digest” all the products of modernization, tried not to delve into the intricate “iron details” of his computer. But lately, many PC owners have been trying to eliminate this omission. For example, they decide to independently install (reinstall) the operating system on their machine.

Necessary

  • RAM 128 - 512 MB,
  • free disk space 10 - 20 GB (for installing applications),
  • Windows installation disc and license number

Instructions

Step 1

So, turn on the PC, insert the boot disk, restart the computer, press the "Delete" key to get into the BIOS (Basic Input-Output System) - the basic input / output system located on the motherboard.

Step 2

In the window that appears, in the menu bar, select the path: Advanced - Advanced BIOS Features. Next, opposite the First Boot Device in the right column will change [Floppy] to [CD-ROM], choosing to boot from CD.

Step 3

Press the F10 key, that is, save and exit.

Step 4

Confirm the action with the Y (yes) key.

After that, the computer will reboot and start installing the OS. In the process, you will be asked to "accept" the terms of the license agreement, and after copying the files to the hard drive, you will select and format its partitions, highlighting one for installation. At this stage, be especially careful when following the prompts.

Step 5

When the files are copied, the computer will reboot again and prompt you to enter the Serial Number. The choice of installation is left by default.

Step 6

Click Next.

This will open a "window" with the Installation options (Windows Setup), select the main language and your location. "Accessibility" can be skipped.

Step 7

Go to "Additional parameters", in the window that appears, you will find two fields indicating the path and folder name: in one - "from", in the other - "where" the files are copied and Windows is installed (you can leave everything unchanged or rename the folder to field "where"). Click Next again.

Step 8

Now you need to enter your personal data: username and organization (optional). Click "Next", and choose your location "Location" (note, in the future, some automatic settings will be linked to this choice: date, time, etc.). For the subsequent installation, your participation is not required, you can be distracted for 30-50 minutes.

Step 9

At the final stage of the installation, the system is automatically configured, drivers are installed, and so on. After the final reboot, you will only have to install the necessary programs
