Windows operating systems are relatively unreliable. Many have had to deal with crashes that arose while working with these operating systems. But there is one positive point - modern versions of Windows have a built-in recovery mechanism.
Necessary
System recovery disk
Instructions
Step 1
If the computer stops booting and you are sure that the problem is in the operating system, then proceed to restore its parameters. Typically, a sign of an OS failure is a computer freeze while it boots. Please note that if the computer does not turn on at all or works for 2-3 seconds and restarts, then the problem is definitely not in the operating system.
Step 2
Restart your computer by clicking the Reset button. After a while, a menu will appear containing options for starting the operating system. Highlight Load Last Known Good Configuration and press Enter. If the OS did not boot in this mode, then restart the PC again and select the "Windows Safe Mode" item. If the system starts successfully in this mode, open the control panel and select the "Backup and Restore" menu.
Step 3
Go to "Restore System or Computer Settings". Specify the system archive that was created automatically or with your help. Click the "Next" button and wait for the computer to restart.
Step 4
If the system does not boot into Safe Mode, use a recovery disc or installation disc. Insert it into the drive and turn on the computer. Hold down the F12 key and in the new window choose to boot from DVD drive. Open the Advanced Recovery Options menu. Select "System Restore" from the options provided. Select a breakpoint and click Next.
Step 5
If the failure of the boot sector is the cause of the system failure, select Startup Repair while using the disk. Confirm this operation and wait for the PC to restart.
