Remote learning, making money on the Internet, communicating on forums and social networks - all this has long been a ubiquitous phenomenon. To feel confident in this habitat, the user must be able to type quickly while making as few mistakes as possible.

Step 1
Imagine the hands of a pianist. He plays with all ten fingers. Likewise, professional typists do the same, who usually enjoy the transition to a computer keyboard. The layman usually prints with two fingers, most often the index fingers. This slows down the process considerably. Place your hands on the keyboard and see which finger is the most convenient to press which letters. Try to remember their location. Typewriting textbooks have always given a keyboard layout, but some variations were allowed.
Step 2
Choose small text, consisting mostly of short sentences. Type it with all ten fingers. Do not hurry. Try to look at the text and the screen, not the keyboard. You will really want to type the way you are used to, so be in control of yourself continuously.
Step 3
Learn to type numbers. Collect them first in order, then randomly. Type in dates and arithmetic problems until you learn to hit the right number straight away.
Step 4
Remember where quotes and other punctuation marks are, as well as paragraph, number, etc. Many additional characters are typed using the same characters as numbers. Learn to quickly switch layouts.
Step 5
Use a keyboard trainer. It can be installed on a computer or online. Go to the site with such a simulator. There you will see several links indicating the difficulty level. Start low. The great thing about the simulator is that it just won't let you continue if you make a mistake. Gradually pick up your pace, then move on to another difficulty level. Do a little bit of exercise every day.
Step 6
Learn to transcribe dictaphone recordings. The text can be anything from a lecture by a university professor to your grandmother's memories. Try to type at the same pace as the person whose voice you recorded. Don't pay too much attention to mistakes. Print a couple of pages, then stop and turn on the spell checker. Do not be upset if there are a lot of typos.
Step 7
Chat on forums and social networks. Any business moves faster if a person understands why he needs it. Being able to connect with many people who have the same interests as yours can be a great incentive to learn how to type quickly.
