Instructions

Step 1

To implement text flow around in Word, you should select a picture in the program, a graphic object around which you need to perform this operation. If this object is on a canvas, then the entire canvas should be selected. Then you need to click the Format tab, which is in the Arrange group in Word 2007. On the indicated tab, you must press the "Position" button, and then select the option of interest for text flow from the methods suggested by the program.

Step 2

If you need to wrap text around a table in Word 2007, you will need to select a table, then go to the Table Tools group, click on the Layout tab. Then you should select the "Properties" command in the "Table" group, which will display several options for text flow. From the proposed methods, you must select the item "Around". You can make additional changes to the position of the table in relation to the text using the "Placement" button in the "Text Wrap" group. This function is needed when you want to change the distance between the outer borders of the table and the text.

Step 3

The operation of text wrapping in Word 2010 is implemented by selecting a picture, a graphic object in a document, selecting a contextual tab of tools, which may differ depending on the object being inserted. So, to work with photos, you should go to the "Working with Pictures" tab, and for an AutoShape - "Drawing Tools". On the selected tab, go to the "Arrange" group, select "Text Wrap". You can then select a specific wrapping method depending on the user's needs.

Step 4

If the user needs to insert a picture at a specific place in the existing text with wrapping, then the corresponding operation in Word 2010 is performed by highlighting the image in the document and repeating the steps described above. At the final stage, in the "Arrange" group, press the "Position" button, after which the program will offer to choose the place where the picture will be placed. It should be noted that the option "In text" will not allow you to make a full-fledged wrap, since in this case the picture is automatically positioned in the middle of the text located above and below the inserted object. That is why, to wrap text around the picture, you should select other items from the list offered by the program.
