By default, computers for Russian-speaking users have two languages installed - Russian and English. If you need business or private correspondence in another language (French, German, etc.), the user can independently add the required language to the computer.
Instructions
Step 1
The language is added through the language bar. It is located on the right side of the desktop panel and is displayed as a square with two letters denoting the current (used in the program) language. Click on it with the right cursor button and click the "Parameters" item in the menu that opens.
Step 2
The Language and Text Services menu opens. In the "General" tab, next to the list of already installed languages, find and click the "Add" button.
Step 3
Select the required language from the list of suggested languages. Click the plus sign next to the language, adjust the keyboard settings. Check the box next to the layout type in which you want to enter text.
Step 4
Click the Show button. The layout you have chosen will be displayed in a new window. If everything suits you, close the preview, click the "OK" button.
Step 5
Make sure the new language appears on the list. Click the "OK" button to save the settings.
Step 6
Switch the keyboard with the "Shift-Alt" or "Shift-Ctrl" combination. Make sure the new language is plugged in.
Step 7
The same settings can be changed through the "Control Panel". Open it through the "Start" menu, then select "Settings" and "Control Panel".
Step 8
Find the Regional and Language Component. Open the Keyboards and Languages tab, click the Change Keyboard button.
Step 9
Next, the same menu will appear as described in the first option for adding. Change the language settings according to your needs.
