If you have already tried to cut hair in a photo in Photoshop, then you probably know what a long and laborious work it is. And if, as an obstinate head of hair, there are chic, like Electronics, curls, then there is no doubt: you will have to spend the next 2-3 hours with your nose buried in the monitor. Plus, if you use an eraser or lasso, the resulting curls will be unnatural, but thank the design gods, hair cutting can be done faster and more efficiently.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a photo that has dark hair on a light background. By the way, this approach will be preferable for any selection tool.
Step 2
Open the photo through the main menu (File -> Open) or by using the Ctrl and O shortcut keys.
Step 3
Open the Filters menu and then Extract, hotkeys - Alt + Ctrl + X. Note that Photoshop CS4 does not have an Extract filter, so you will need to install it separately. To do this, download it and place it in the Filters folder, which is located at C: / Program Files / Adobe / Adobe Photoshop CS4 / Plug-ins / Filters.
Step 4
In the window that opens, the required tool is usually already activated. Otherwise, you need to choose it yourself, it is the very first on the left panel. Start highlighting the hair area. Try to use the smallest possible brush size, as the quality of the result depends on it. The selection of the area must be closed.
Step 5
After selecting the required area, take the Full Tool and fill the area inside the path with it, and then click OK.
Step 6
Evaluate the result. If it's a little rough, try again, but choose a smaller diameter for the brush. In order to cut the hair as well as possible, you need to feel the tool, and this can take several tries.
