Sometimes a situation arises in which it is required to transfer the format of a photograph or some other image from one to another. The program for sorting and editing pictures ACDSee can help in this.

Instructions
Step 1
Open ACDSee. Once launched, you will find yourself in the Manage tab (sort mode). Open the required file. This can be done in several ways. First, find the Folders panel (by default it is on the left side of the program, if the panel is missing, press Ctrl + Shift + 1), which is a slightly modified analogue of Windows Explorer. Select the folder where the required file is located. Second - click the File> Open menu item (or use the shortcut keys Ctrl + O), in the window that opens, select the desired photo and click "Open". A list of folders and graphic files that are in this directory will appear in the workspace of the program.
Step 2
Switch to the View tab (the list of tabs is in the upper right corner of the program). At the bottom, select the desired file and click the Tools> Modify> Convert file format menu item (or use the Ctrl + F hotkeys).
Step 3
A window will appear on which there are two tabs: Format and Advanced options, we are interested in the first one. Select the one you need from the list of suggested formats. If you chose the Jpeg option, pay attention to the Format settings button, click it and in the window that appears, set the Image quality slider to maximum so that the photo does not lose quality.
Step 4
Having decided on the settings, click "Next". In the window that appears, pay attention to the Destination field. If you put a dot next to the item Place modified images in source folder, then the result will be saved to the original folder, if next to Place modified images in the following folder, then you will be able to specify the folder to save manually. Having decided on the choice, click "Next", and in the next window Start Convert. A window will appear in which the conversion process will be displayed, after which the "Finish" button will become available, click it.
Step 5
To exit the program, click the File> Exit menu item, or use either of these two key combinations: Alt + F4 or Ctrl + W.
