Canon manufactures, among other things, computer peripheral devices for image processing - copiers, printers, scanners, combined devices. These products are very widely used with home computers and office workstations. Like most peripheral equipment, such devices, including printers, require drivers to be installed to work.
Instructions
Step 1
Start with the easiest option to install drivers for any peripheral devices - turn on the power of the printer connected to the network and the computer. Modern operating systems integrate their own driver databases, which include thousands of names of various versions and manufacturers. When it detects each newly connected device, the OS tries to identify it and select the appropriate driver among those available in the integrated set. If this is successful, you will see a notification about the successful recognition and installation of the printer - it will appear in the lower right corner of the desktop, in the tray.
Step 2
If this option does not work, use the software disc that should be in the printer box. Insert it into the optical disc reader and wait for the menu to appear on the screen. If the OS prompts you if you can allow the autorun program, answer in the affirmative - the appearance of this request depends on the OS settings. In the menu, select the driver installation item, which can be formulated differently for different versions of the printer. Then a special program will start working - the installation wizard. Just follow his instructions, and it is likely that they will not be, and the master will do everything on his own.
Step 3
If there is no optical disc, download the required installation files from the Internet. For this, use the Russian-language Canon website - the link to its main page is given below. In the right column on this page there is a form for finding information related to the printer model you need. Use the form, download the installation file and run it. After that, the printer installation wizard described in the previous step will start - follow its instructions until the end of the driver installation process.
