Apple's modern iPods allow you to open a wide variety of files, including text document formats. To read text from the player, you can use programs that can be downloaded through iTunes or AppStore.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the iTunes menu on your computer and select the Store section. After that, use the search for reading programs using the search string or the list of categories. In the window you can enter the query "reader" and view the programs that were displayed for this query.
Step 2
Among all the utilities for opening text on a device are the iBooks, Marvin, ShortBook, Kobo and ShuBook programs. The iBooks utility is one of the most popular for iOS and supports the playback of epub, pdf files. The program also offers a large number of settings. Marvin has almost the same functionality, but the utility can only open epub books. Shubook supports opening txt, epub, fb2, pdf, rtf and doc files.
Step 3
Having chosen the program you like, click on the "Free" button and wait for the installation to complete. Enter your Apple ID and password if required. If you do not have an account with the service, create one using the "Create Apple ID" button.
Step 4
After downloading the program, connect your iPod to your computer and wait for the program to download to the device. If synchronization is disabled, add the program manually through the menu of your device.
Step 5
Once the program is downloaded, you can copy the books you want to read in the iTunes window. To do this, use the "Applications" section. Scroll through the list that appears and select your reader. Place the book files you want to copy to your iPod to its name. Once the addition is complete, sync your player again and then disconnect it from your computer. You can open the downloaded books by running the installed program on the device and selecting the appropriate menu item.
