Instructions
Step 1
There is a way to convert a dynamic disk to a basic one without losing data.
Download the archive with the TestDisk program and unpack it to any convenient place. Find and run testdisk_win.exe in the win folder. In the window that opens, a menu will be presented in which you must select the Create item.
Step 2
A list of all drives connected to the computer, including external media, will be displayed. Select the drive you want to convert, point to Proceed and press the Enter key.
Step 3
In the list of platforms (Intel, MAC, Xbox, etc.), to which the disk is connected, you need to select your own. Press the Enter key.
Step 4
In the next menu list, select Analyze, press Enter.
Step 5
Information about the structure of the selected disk will be displayed. In order to later be able to restore the partition structure, you must make an initial Backup. Then select Proceed.
If the disc contains a large number of errors, then the procedure for this step can be quite lengthy. Upon completion, a list of all partitions available on the disk will be given. By selecting a section and pressing the "P" key, you can view the files and folders contained in it. If necessary, they can be moved around the discs using the "C" key. Press the Enter key.
Step 6
Now press the Write button, in the confirmation window press "Y", after which the transformation of the disk structure will begin.
After completing the process, restart your computer. If the drive does not appear in File Explorer, disconnect and reconnect it to your computer.
