Sometimes, when refueling Samsung cartridges, some difficulties may arise, since the aforementioned manufacturer, in order to increase the sales of its products, began to use special chips installed directly into the printer. But do not despair and immediately go to the store for a new cartridge. However, it can be refilled with regular toner.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your work area to refill the Samsung toner cartridge. For these purposes, the bathroom is ideal: waste toner, which looks like dust, settles under the influence of moisture.
Step 2
Protect your face from possible contamination with a respirator. You can also use a regular gauze bandage, which you can make yourself with the help of available tools. Remember to protect your hands. Purchase disposable gloves from the pharmacy or use regular household rubber gloves.
Step 3
Take the tools. You will need two types of screwdrivers (slotted and Phillips), a damp cloth, toner, a cartridge, and a funnel. Then carefully remove the top cover from the cartridge. Locate the two screws on the sides of the cartridge. Unscrew them. If this model has additional screws to secure the cover, remove them. Examine the bunker. It is usually filled with waste toner.
Step 4
Shake it out. Do this smoothly and carefully so that it does not crumble in all directions. After you have cleaned the hopper, take a slotted screwdriver and use it to remove the plug. Add new toner to the Samsung cartridge. Then replace the plug, close the hopper and reassemble the cartridge. Then install it in the printer.
Step 5
Turn on the printer. Look at the toner indicator. If it glows red even though the cartridge has just been refilled, turn off the printer and open the back cover. On the surface of the small board there should be a microcircuit signed as 93 C66.
Step 6
Examine it carefully. Find the first and fourth legs. Countdown should be carried out counterclockwise. Take a soldering iron and gently solder a jumper between them. Close the cover, turn on the printer. Now the counters will automatically show the initial fill value of the cartridge.
