These settings can be edited, but to save space on your hard drive, you should also periodically clear the cache manually. Step 1
Clear the contents of the Internet Explorer browser cache (in the example, Internet Explorer 9 was used). To do this, click on the gear in the upper right corner of the program window ("Service" menu) or press the Alt + X key combination. In the list that appears, select "Internet Options".
Step 2
Open the "General" tab in the window that appears. In the "Browsing history" section, click on the "Delete" button. In the window that opens, set the cleaning parameters and confirm the deletion of the selected files. Wait until cleaning is complete and close the window.
Step 3
Clear the cache in the Google Chrom browser (in the example we used version 15.0.874.106 m). To do this, click on the image of a wrench in the upper right corner of the program (menu "Settings and management"). Select "Options" from the list that opens.
Step 4
Select the "Advanced" section on the "Settings" tab that opens. Click on the button "Delete browsing data".
Step 5
Put a marker in the window that appears in the line "Clear cache" and click on the button "Delete data on viewed pages". Wait for the cleaning to complete and close the tab.
Step 6
Clear the cache of the Mozilla Firefox browser (Firefox 6 was used in the example). To do this, in the program menu (orange button labeled Firefox) select "History", and in it - the item "Erase recent history". Or just press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
Step 7
Put a marker in the "Cache" line in the window that appears. Click on the "Clear Now" button - files from the cache will be deleted.
Step 8
Clear the contents of the Opera browser cache (in the example, version 11.51 was used). To do this, call the program menu (the button labeled Opera in the upper left corner of the window). Select in the "Settings" item "Delete personal data".
Step 9
Click in the window that appears on the round button with an arrow next to the inscription "Detailed settings".
Step 10
Set the marker in the line "Clear cache". Click on the "Delete" button - the contents of the cache will be cleared.
