Necessary
Vista installation disc
Instructions
Step 1
There are several methods for uninstalling Windows Vista. The simplest solution is to format the hard disk partition where this operating system is installed. Copy all important files from this section and restart your computer.
Step 2
Run the installer for the new operating system. At the moment when the installation process comes to selecting a hard disk partition, select the local disk on which the Windows Vista operating system is installed.
Step 3
Format this partition by pressing the F key (Windows XP) or the Format button (Windows Seven). Proceed with the installation of the new operating system on the selected disk partition.
Step 4
If you do not need to install a new operating system, then simply format the system partition. The problem is that to format the system partition, you need to connect a second hard drive on which Windows is installed or connect your hard drive to another computer.
Step 5
Choose the option that suits you. Open the My Computer menu. To do this, press the key combination "Start" and E. Right-click on the hard disk partition on which Vista is installed and select "Format". Specify the cluster size and file system type for the future clean volume. Click the Format button.
Step 6
If you are unable to use any of the above methods, please use the Windows Vista operating system installation disc. Start this disk. In the third window, go to the "Advanced recovery options" menu.
Step 7
In the window that appears, select the "Command Line" item. A new console will open. Type in the command Format C, where C is the letter of the local drive on which Vista is installed. Press the Enter key. Confirm the start of the formatting process and wait for the completion of this process.
