For those who have installed drivers in the Windows Vista operating system, the system requirements for the mandatory digital signature of the installed component are familiar. The problem was that not all drivers that currently exist are tested at the Microsoft service center. This can be explained by the lack of time, opportunity and other reasons. Therefore, when searching, you need to look for digitally signed drivers.

Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider software

Instructions

Step 1

After the release of Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista, many shortcomings were fixed, the developers did not remove the ability to install software without a digital signature. To do this, type the following line on the command line: bcdedit / set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS. But in the end, such an opportunity seemed superfluous to the developers and was removed. Although the same action could be done when the computer was booted: press F8 and select "Disable mandatory driver signature verification".

Step 2

Because the driver developer cannot send every beta version to the Microsoft service center, they came up with another option. We created the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider program, which allows you to install drivers without a digital signature, but only in test mode. And the developer doesn't need anything else. Its main purpose is to test it on this version of the operating system.

Step 3

After starting the program, you must turn on the test mode. You can do it like this: click the "Enable Test Mode" button.

Step 4

In order to add temporary signatures for your driver, click "Sign a System File" and specify the full path to your driver file. If you have several such files, then run the program several times.

Step 5

After rebooting your system, test your driver.
