After installing the SP3 service pack for the Windows XP operating system, the ability to view the address to the folder in which the user is located is lost. It cannot be restored, however, you can install various utilities that replace it.

Step 1
Open the following address in your web browser: https://www.muvenum.com/products/freeware/. This utility will return you the address bar, add a search function on the Internet and in the computer directly from the quick launch bar, and also has several other convenient functions.
Step 2
The program is free, you can start using it right after downloading, but first make sure that NET Framework 2.0 is installed on your computer. The only drawback of the utility is that it is completely in English, but this is not a problem, given that it only needs to be configured once before starting work.
Step 3
If NET. Framework 2.0 is not installed on your computer, and you are not going to install it in the future, use the download of the program from the following link: https://www.niversoft.com/. It is also free, but it has a simpler menu and somewhat limited functionality. There is also only an English version of the utility.
Step 4
If you do not want to resort to installing third-party software on your computer, use the replacement system files to add the address bar. Just in case, create a system restore point first. Make a backup copy of the DllCache and browseui.dll files that are located in the Sistem 32 folder in Windows. This is also required for recovery.
Step 5
On a computer running Windows XP SP2 or below, open the Sistem 32 folder and copy the DllCache and browseui.dll files to the removable media. Insert the USB stick into a computer with Windows XP SP3 and copy the files into the same directory with the replacement. Please note that the backup must already exist at this point. Reboot your computer.
Step 6
Open any folder in the explorer and use the tool menu to add the address bar. If it appears and your system works smoothly, create another savepoint.
