Probably everyone knows when a computer starts to freeze, boot up for a long time, periodically not respond to your requests, antivirus checks the system for malware for a very long time, and so on. This means that you need to discover the holy of holies - the C drive, on which, in fact, the "brains" of the computer are installed.
Instructions
Step 1
In fact, there is nothing difficult here. The main thing is not to delete unnecessary things. First of all, I recommend downloading the CCleaner program - a good program that will independently monitor the amount of unnecessary information on the disk, correct errors, and so on. The interface is understandable at an intuitive level, it takes up little space, and the use is a wagon. So the first step is to run the program and delete everything unnecessary.
Step 2
Step two - start the computer in safe mode.
For Windows 7, there is an F8 key. When you turn on the computer, press F8 several times and a black screen should appear, where you select "Run in Safe Mode" with the arrows. If F8 doesn't work, press the Fn key, this will turn on the function key bar. Perhaps not the first time (I get it from 4-5 times), you will still enter safe mode.
For Windows 8, press simultaneously the key with the Windows icon and R. In the window that appears, enter msconfig and click OK. In the "Download" tab, put a check mark on safe mode and restart the computer.
Step 3
List of folders that you can clean without fear of deleting something you need.
C: / Windows / Temp
C: / Temp
C: / Users \% username% / AppData / Local / Temp
C: / Users \% username% / AppData / Local / Opera / Opera / cache
C: / Users \% username% / AppData / Local / Temp
C: / Users \% username% / AppData / Local / Opera / Opera / cache
% username% - username
Step 4
Press CTRL + A (or CTRL + Ф for Russian layout) and all files will be selected. Press SHIFT + DEL and all files are deleted immediately, without moving to the trash. By the way, the basket should be cleaned after all deletions. We reboot the computer.
