One of the typical actions performed when creating collages is the introduction of objects that did not exist there before into the edited image. For example, it is often required to add a person to a photo. This can be done in Adobe Photoshop.
Necessary
- - Adobe Photoshop;
- - an image with a person;
- - the image where the person needs to be added.
Instructions
Step 1
Load the image you want to add the person to into Adobe Photoshop. In the File section of the main menu, select the "Open …" item (you can also press Ctrl + O). Then, using the dialog that appears, specify the desired file. Click on the "Open" button.
Step 2
Load a picture into Adobe Photoshop that contains the person you want to add to the target image. Follow the steps similar to those described in the previous step.
Step 3
Create a marquee around the person. Set the viewport scale enough to accurately work with the Polygonal Lasso and Magnetic Lasso tools. With their help, select the entire figure of the person. Switch to Quick Mask mode by pressing the Q key. Adjust the selection area with the paint tools by choosing white and black foreground colors. Exit quick mask mode.
Step 4
Add the person to the target image. Copy the selection to the clipboard. To do this, in the Edit section of the main menu, select the Copy item or press Ctrl + C. Switch to the window with the image loaded in the first step. Press Ctrl + V or use the Paste item of the Edit menu.
Step 5
Resize and position the added person's image if necessary. Press Ctrl + T or choose Free Transform from the Edit menu. In the top panel, click the Maintain aspect ratio button. Moving the edges and corners of the appeared frame with the mouse, resize and rotate the image. Move it outside the inner area.
Step 6
If necessary, create a shadow for the person. Duplicate the current layer by choosing Layer and "Duplicate Layer …" from the menu. Switch to the second layer from the top. Convert the image in it to grayscale by pressing Ctrl + Shift + U. Using the transformation modes activated from the Transform section of the Edit menu, give the shadow the desired shape. Blur it with a Gaussian Blur filter. In the Layers panel, change the Opacity to make the shadow semi-transparent.
Step 7
If necessary, refine the edges of the person and shadow images with the Eraser tool. Choose a soft round brush with low opacity. Achieve high-quality and natural alignment of pictures.
Step 8
Merge the visible layers. Press Ctrl + Shift + E or select Layer and Merge Visible from the main menu.
Step 9
Save the work result. Press Ctrl + Shift + S. Specify the file name and image format. Click the Save button.
