Got Photoshop and can't wait to change your photo, a friend's photo, or any other picture you like? Learn to change the background of a photo at your own discretion and desire - in this article you will learn about a method for extracting a background from a photo that is available even to beginners.
Necessary
Adobe Photoshop program
Instructions
Step 1
Open the image you will be working with. If the object on it is clear and contrasting, and the background is a uniform color - white, black, or whatever, the Magic Wand Tool will help you.
Step 2
To be able to apply changes to the original uploaded image, duplicate the main layer and work on the copy.
Step 3
Select the Magnetic Lasso Tool from the toolbar. Left-click with the selected tool at any place on the contour of the desired object and begin to gently move the mouse along the contour - the dotted line of the selection will itself lie down as needed. This method is only suitable if the background is monochrome and the image is in contrast with it.
Step 4
After the outline of the object is completely selected, close the selection and press Ctrl + Shift + I to invert the selection. The background will be completely selected instead of the object. Click the Delete key and your object will appear on a transparent background, and the previous background will be deleted.
Step 5
Deselect and save the picture. Now you can paste it on any other images.
Step 6
If your drawing or photograph has a varied multicolored background, which happens more often, select the Pen Tool from the panel. When setting intermediate nodes, draw a dotted line around the object in the photo, enlarging it for convenience. Try not to miss anything, cover all the bends of the contour. If you make a mistake, select the Convert Point Tool and edit the dotted line. After that open the Path tab to the right of Layers and Channels, and Ctrl-click on the Paths layer. An active selection appears. Then you can invert it again and cut out the background.
