Step 1
The first option is to use vector shapes. Use the Pen tool to trace the outline of the object. Then right-click on the path. In the window that appears, select the "form a selection area" item. Click OK. Take "selection" from the toolbar, right-click on the selected area. Select "copy to a new layer". The object you need will appear on a new layer. Correct it with the eraser and place it on the new background. Although this method is long, it gives good results if the object to be separated does not have a complex shape.
Step 2
The second option is based on obtaining "alpha channels" from the image channels with their subsequent manual correction. This method is suitable for separating objects of complex shapes. For example, when clipping hair. Open your image. Go to the Channels tab. Select the channel with the maximum object contrast. Use the Levels, Curves, and Brush tools to increase the contrast in the image. Hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and left-click on the layer with the image. The selection will load. Invert if necessary. Right-click on the selected area, in the menu that appears, select "copy to a new layer". The cut object will appear on a new layer. Correct the image using the eraser.
Step 3
The third way is to select an object using the "quick mask" function. On the toolbar, click on the "quick mask" icon. Select the brush tool and paint over the areas you want to select. Click on the "quick mask" icon again. The selection will load in front of you. Right-click on the object and select "copy to a new layer". The cut object will appear on a new layer. Adjust the image and place it on the background you want. When cutting out an object from the background, remember that a good result can only be achieved by combining the above methods.
