Nowadays, as well as many centuries ago, the image of an object is the most important stage in its manufacture. After all, only by drawing, albeit schematically, any thing you can get an idea of how it should look. The manufacture of any, even the smallest, part begins with a drawing. Specialists, looking at such a schematic image, can get an accurate idea of its shape, dimensions and what properties the part should have. Engineering graphics in its most elementary sense is the science of the rules for constructing technical drawings and diagrams. Not everyone knows that all technical drawings must not only be executed with maximum accuracy, but also comply with the rules and international standards determined by a set of state standards (GOST). The "Unified System for Design Documentation" (ESKD) is mandatory for all engineering organizations, as well as for individuals. The development of drawing and engineering has been going on for many years. Initially, the builders used schematic images of rooms and details of houses, drawn right on the site of the foundation of the future building in full size. Later, the size of the first drawings began to decrease and were transferred to paper and canvas. With the development of shipbuilding and the appearance of more complex engineering structures in everyday life, drawing became widespread and began to develop by leaps and bounds. In Russia, the first standards for the execution of mechanical engineering drawings were published back in 1928 and since then have been constantly improved and rewritten. A drawing made in accordance with all the rules will be understandable to a specialist in any country, regardless of what language he speaks and what industry he works in. … That is why the study of engineering graphics is one of the foundations in the training of technical specialists around the world.
