Step 1
No special knowledge is required to properly connect your LG monitor. After all, almost all monitors from modern manufacturers, including LG, are automatically detected by the Windows operating system. In this case, you do not have to install special drivers. The main condition for a successful connection is the presence of special electrical cables that will connect the LG monitor to the system unit, as well as the power outlet.
Step 2
First, take the monitor out of the box and carefully unpack it. Place the LG monitor on the computer table. Then take the cable bag and remove it. Look at the back of the monitor and find the special connector there. You need to insert one of the cables there. There is a plug on the other side of this power cord that must be plugged into an outlet.
Step 3
Connect the second cable that connects the monitor and the computer system unit. Take the plug from the longer cable that comes from the monitor, find the connector on the back of the system unit and insert the cable there. Tighten the screws very carefully on both sides near the connector.
Step 4
Next, turn on the computer to check if you have connected the LG monitor correctly. If the monitor is lit up and images appear on it, then you did everything right. If the display is dark and the indicator light is off in the lower left corner of the monitor, you need to check all connections again.
Step 5
It is possible that you will need the drivers that come with your LG monitor on a separate CD. Insert this disc into your drive and the installation wizard will automatically open. Follow the algorithm for installing the drivers by clicking on the "Next" button. After the drivers are fully installed, restart your computer.
