Owners of CD / DVD drives have problems with the equipment - the head of the laser lens gets clogged (this can be due to dust), while the device reads the disc poorly or stops doing it altogether. Before taking the equipment to the service, try cleaning it yourself using a cleaning disc. This is perhaps the easiest way to clean drives.

Instructions
Step 1
Check your device manual and determine if the cleaning disc can be used or not. Whether to use dry or wet processing. If you will be using the wet option, apply two drops of cleaning fluid to the CD brushes. If it is dry, you do not need to do this.
Step 2
Insert the cleaning CD with the arrow first into a household CD player or CD / DVD drive in your computer. If you are cleaning a household turntable, the cleaning time will be the duration of the playback of a special track recorded on the disc.
Step 3
Check the disc information. In the first session, there is a description of the use of a specific disc.
Step 4
Select the "Start" menu on your personal computer, then "Run". Enter CD / ROM: / SETUP. EXE to start the installer. The program will check the status of the CD-ROM laser lens. The cleaning disc itself does not contain programs written to it, but is controlled by a regular CD / DVD drive driver.
Step 5
Clean the lens regularly as its surface is horizontal and there is a protective rim around it to prevent the lens from hitting the rotating disc.
Step 6
Place the disc in its box for safe storage. After all, cleaning is done with a compact brush fixed in a special cell, which is glued to the CD surface. In this regard, the structure requires proper handling.
