Step 1
The easiest way to hide the taskbar is to move the mouse over its upper edge and, when the standard cursor turns into an arrow with two ends, collapse the taskbar downward while holding the left mouse button. Then the taskbar will turn into a strip across the entire width of the screen at the very bottom.
Step 2
It may be that the taskbar is docked and cannot be minimized. To fix this, you need to right-click on the taskbar. In the list that appears, there will be a check mark next to the item "Dock the taskbar". You need to click on this item. After that, the taskbar will no longer be pinned and you can do the same with it as in the step described above.

You can also hide the taskbar automatically. In this case, the taskbar will be hidden, and will open only if you hover the cursor to the very bottom of the screen, where the strip from the taskbar will be located.
To enable such an option, you need to right-click on the taskbar, select the "Properties" item in the list, in the window that opens, check the box next to "Automatically hide the taskbar" and then click the "Apply" button

You can also make the taskbar not appear on top of other windows. Then, in the above window with the properties of the taskbar, you need to uncheck the box "Show taskbar on top of other windows".

By default, the taskbar is located at the bottom of the screen across its entire width. If it is more convenient for you to work with it in a different place, then you can drag it from this zone to the right or left corner of the screen, as well as to the top of the screen by holding the left mouse button. Accordingly, already in these zones, you can minimize the taskbar at your discretion.
