Microsoft Excel makes it possible to build various types of graphs and charts on the basis of tabular data for more visual display of information. For example, you can build a bar chart that will display the performance of each department or employee. Using the graph, you can build the dependence of one indicator on another.

Step 1
Start Microsoft Excel. Open the file with the table on which you want to make a histogram. Select the range of values that you want to reflect in the chart and click on the "Chart Wizard" button on the toolbar.
Step 2
Select the "Histograms" item in the standard tab in the wizard window that appears and in the right part of the window mark the chart appearance you need. Click the Next button. In the second window of the wizard, check the correctness of the selected range, according to which the chart is built in Excel. If necessary, change it by clicking on the button in the "Range" field. Click the Series tab to add a series of values, for example from another area of the table.
Step 3
Select each row and give it a name. To do this, in the "Name" field, click on the button and select the cells that will serve as names for the values. Enter labels for the X-axis. If you want to add them from the table, click on the appropriate button and select the desired data range from the table. Notice how the preview of the diagram changes in the window. Click "Next".
Step 4
Set the required parameters of the histogram. In the "Titles" tab, enter the title of the chart itself, axis labels. Go to the "Legend" tab, select its location relative to the histogram: bottom, right, left. If necessary, set the display of data labels in the appropriate tab. Click "Next".
Step 5
Select where the constructed bar chart should be placed in the next step of the wizard. You can place it on an existing sheet, i.e. on the same as the table. Place it on a separate sheet if necessary. Click the Finish button. If necessary, you can change the parameters or the format of the chart, to do this, right-click on it and select the desired item. The construction of the histogram is completed.
