CL-41 cartridges are used in many of Canon's budget inkjet printers. Their capacity is relatively low and they are used up quickly with heavy printing.

Instructions

Step 1

Position the Canon CL-41 Color Ink Cartridge with the cartridge contact area facing away from you. Remove the sticker located on the surface of the cartridge. Inside, it is divided into three compartments. The upper compartment contains red ink, the lower left compartment contains blue ink, and the lower right compartment contains yellow ink. Using a drill or an awl, punch the filling holes in each compartment.

Step 2

Take a disposable syringe, put a needle on it and fill it with approximately 6 grams of ink of the same color.

Step 3

Insert the syringe and needle into the color-matched filling hole. Be careful not to be mistaken with the ink color. There is a sponge inside the compartment - pierce it, but not through, but approximately to the middle. If you insert the needle all the way down to the bottom of the cartridge, it will leak with further use and this defect will no longer be repairable.

Step 4

Start injecting slowly. Do not make significant efforts - otherwise you risk getting a fountain of ink, stained clothes and premises, and it is not so easy to remove them. If you notice that ink starts to flow out of the refill port, stop the process immediately and draw back about 1 gram of the refillable ink using a syringe.

Step 5

After finishing the refueling process, seal the holes with tape, electrical tape or a glue gun. The latter option is preferable, as the glue will securely seal the filling holes you have made.

Step 6

Use a thin needle to pierce a small vent hole in the tape or duct tape. If you used a glue gun, make one next to a gas station. This step is required, otherwise the cartridge will not work.

Step 7

After reinstalling the cartridges, make some color prints to clean the printheads and check the quality of the refills.
