With a printer at home, you can print photos and necessary documents. However, with each print, the amount of ink in the cartridges decreases. Sooner or later they will need to be refueled. Unfortunately, not many people know how to do it correctly, but if you learn, then in the future there will be no problems with refueling.
Necessary
- - cartridge;
- - a small plastic box;
- - carnation;
- - syringes with ink;
- - Scotch;
- - napkin
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ink. Place the cartridge to be refilled in the small box with the print head facing down to avoid touching the contacts with your fingers. Remove the special labeling sticker. Depending on the cartridge, you will see 1 (black) or 3 (color) ink vents underneath.
Step 2
The black cartridge is pre-loaded with pigment ink, and if you intend to fill it with water-soluble ink, try to make the most of the cartridge. This will reduce the chance of ink incompatibilities. Do the same with the colored one.
Step 3
Using the stud that came with the ink, carefully enlarge the diameter of the ventilation holes. Do this in such a way that the needle of the syringe can freely enter the hole, and there is still a gap through which the air from the refilled container will go out. Everything is now ready for refueling.
Step 4
If you are going to refill a color cartridge, be sure to read the instructions that are in the package with the paint. It indicates what color, in which hole you need to fill. Take the first syringe, insert it into the hole with the same color and gently squeeze no more than 5 ml of paint into the container of the cartridge. Fill the rest of the holes in the same way.
Step 5
After finishing refueling, thoroughly wipe the cartridge from traces of ink and seal it tightly with a piece of tape so that air from outside does not get into the container. Wait 10-15 minutes for the cartridge to saturate and all excess ink will drain out of the print head, then gently wipe it off with a tissue. Insert the cartridge into the printer and clean the print head several times. The black cartridge is refilled in the same way.
